Annual Hisey Park Fall Festival
Posted by: | CommentsWarren County Park District Announces Annual Fall Festival
The Warren County Park District and Friends of the Park will hold their 6th annual Fall Festival in Hisey Park at 5443 Middletown Road near Waynesville on October 22 beginning at 10 AM and running through 6PM. The popularity of this event has drawn more and more people with each passing year. Live music, farm equipment, Halloween costume contests with prizes for dogs and children, crafts, pumpkin decorating, hayrides, good food, bluebird box building, frontier fire starting, a cruise in, and more have been planned for the day in the park. Family fun is a sure thing with a bonfire, Care Flight fly-in, Indian and Civil War encampments, a petting zoo, games and other activities on the agenda. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the last of the Indian Summer season outdoors before cooler fall weather arrives. Walk the nature trails in the woodlands and meadows of Hisey Park to see the habitat where abundant wildlife lives the whole year. The Glen Helen Raptor Center will display and discuss their birds of prey.
Sponsors for the Fall Festival are Waynesville Hometown Market Place, Lebanon Citizens National Bank, Hylant Group Insurance, Minuteman Press, B&B Carryout, Branstrator Farms, The American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Wayne Township Trustees, Prickett’s Barbershop and Popeye’s Water Hauling.
